"For as long as I can remember, I have suffered from clinical depression and generalized anxiety disorder. Close to ten years ago, I was officially diagnosed, and put on medication. A couple of years ago, I accepted that my illness still controlled a large part of my life in very negative ways. I sought counseling, which helped me to deal with the new events and issues that came up in my day-to-day life, but was unable to rid me of an underlying sense of failure and impending doom.
Finally, I made the decision to focus all my energy on getting better, once and for all. I was tired of carrying around the baggage acquired through my life and didn't want to depend on medication which only masked part of my problems.
As I tried new tools to help me on the path to recovery, and slowly weaned myself off medication, I found myself entering the realm of 'Alternative Healing'. The words made me immediately skeptical and self-critical. I'm a logical, mature adult with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from a respected university. I am a wandering soul asking the Universe to provide its mystical answers to heal my karmic disruptions -- dude. What was I doing here?!?
This is when I discovered Carol, and the Alchemy Institute of Hypnosis. It sounded so wonderful, but really weird at the same time. Oh, well -- I'd come this far, what did I have to lose? With an open mind, protected by a healthy veil of skepticism, I booked my first session with Carol and began to change my life.
Carol has opened a door into my personal world, and her commitment to teaching me how to navigate this world on my own is sincere. With each session, I have experienced profound and lasting changes. I have been given my own set of tools that empower me to become the person I want to be, and for once in my life know I am on the path I am meant to travel.
